Hyundai Xcent was a first player of this segment by Hyundai in India and recently Hyundai launched the new generation of this player, the Hyundai Aura. But its not like that, that Xcent will be discontinue it will be in the game with its successor.

Hyundai Aura engine, power and performance
The hood of top trim (SX Plus 1.2 AMT CRDi) of the car try to hide 1.2L 1186cc 3 cylinder DOHC CRDi diesel engine which strain out 75bhp of power at 4000 rpm and adds 190Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. Its a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) car with automatic transmission.
Meanwhile if we look at the petrol variant (SX Plus 1.0) this variant is wrapped with 1L 998cc 3 cylinder petrol engine, by this engine it is able to produce 99bhp of power at 6000 rpm and the torque figure is 172Nm at 1500 rpm.
All variants comes with BS6 compilant.

Exterior
Coolness of this car shines like a diamond when you feels it's aura. Design is not that sharp but overall car looks good and defines its segment.
Front face
As we all know that Aura is based on Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS so the front face looks like NIOS the grill, the lights and the same boomerang style LED DRLs but this time there are four boomerangs, two-two at the both end of the grill and it looks good.
Aura is equipped with halogen headlamps and fog lamps. As always you will also found turn indicators on the OVRM.
Side profile
From side it's not that slick as we except from a sedan but then the term hit the bulls eye, it's a compact sedan.
Windows are big which helps to keep the cabin fresh, 15 inch wheels looks little bit smaller 16 would be better, alloy design is very cool and looks fab.
Black treatment on the c pillar breaks that same colour momentum, mind blowing. This thing nowadays is on most of the Hyundai cars.
Back Side
Now here is the new thing, the boot, why new thing? Because NIOS is not a sedan. So here you can see the sharpness and those beautiful Z shaped tail lights which were in controversy when Aura launched.
The black touch on the boot which connects both end tail light and makes the back side very interesting and exciting, just above this touch the Aura is written over there.
If you see the diffuser such black work is also there, very sporty.
The boot gate carve in such a way that the above portion of the gate is a spoiler but there is no spoiler, attention to detail applause.

The cabin is pretty comfortable, rear seats have decent amount of space leg room is good, knee room would have been better, under thigh support is also decent but if a person who is taller than average have some struggle. Rear center arm rest with dual cup holders, space for magzine is also there, two adjustable headrest. Overall seats are quite comfortable.
Coming to front seats, they are also comfortable but with fixed headrest and little side bolsters kinda hugs you.
Dual tone dashboard similar to NIOS, based. The dashboard is busy somehow but looks good. The instrument cluster have sporty vibes and is a misture of digital and analog. Three spoke steering wheel is very crunchy and feels good, you can adjust a height but not reach.
Graphics on the board looks good and cool glove box helps you to keep yourself cool at traffic.
