Running luxury on road Mercedes Benz V Class | review, power, engine, comforts | Carzz

The word Mercedes in the title tell you that this post is going to be luxurious, why? Because where Mercedes comes luxury follows the foot print by its own. Now, my words are going to tell you about the V class, the luxury van, the luxury minibus, a moving meeting room, a moving restaurant, a moving luxury room and whatever you think about a moving luxury room.

V class price and variants

V class price and variants Now the thing is that this vehicle is not available in petrol, Benz offers you 3 variants out of which two variants have same displacement and these variants do not have BS6 complaint. Price starts from 68.44 lakhs for the base V class Expression ELWB, mid model Exclusive LWB cost around 81.91 lakhs. The Elite, the top end with BS6 complaint cost.........1.1 crore.
Before Auto Expo India there was three variants but in Expo Benz launched the fourth variant which cost 1.46 crore, Marco Polo.

V class power and performance

It doesn't mean that Mercedes filled this only by amenities, under the hood there is a heart of this vehicle which shows the other side of the Benz, the powerful side, now don't start thinking that this is a drivers' car like Mercedes Benz AMG GT R. 

Ok so, the Expression ELWB and Exclusive LWB have the same engine which release out same power, they are living with 2143cc, 4-cylinder inline DOHC turbocharged diesel engine which generate 160bhp of power at 3,800rpm and 380Nm of torque at 1,600rpm, dual clutch and automatic transmission and RWD.

Elite trim comes with 1950cc engine,  4-cylinder inline DOHC turbocharged diesel engine which slides 161 bhp of power at 4,200rpm and 380Nm of torque at 1,200rpm, dual clutch,  automatic transmission and it's a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). 

The two variants produces less torque than Elite but ELWB & LWB produces more power than Elite.

This is my first experience with any vehicle whose variants have different dimensions. As you can see the Elite have more head room compare to two others and the Expression is longer than the other two and its wheelbase is also longer than the other variants.

Exterior 

This vehicle is big enough to consume a lane and the size is very attractive which attracts your eyes. The vehicle is looking sophisticated and gorgeous. 

The front face of the car is very smooth and the grill and headlights are quite sporty and the vents are also good, bonnet is very small of course it's a van not a sedan. There are big OVRMs, turn indicators are also on it and the size is good, with respect to the body of vehicle.
The side profile is very interesting, because of its length & height and big window and the party popper, sliding doors not like Maruti Suzuki Omni it is faaaaaaar better than Omni, sorry for stupid comparison not really a comparison, ok whatever.

So from side the car look a big daddy and very gentle and calm. I love the sliding door they are effortless, push a button they are open for you, push a button they are close.
The back, I'm not the big fan of V class back because it just like a straight wall with big wind shield it's back don't have movement, that Mercedes language which we have shown in other Benz cars is missing, I know its a van but still in my opinion it is good but not fab. LED tail lights are super beautiful and super attention seeker. Here comes the Mercedes twist the big rear wind shield is openable separately which is a very spicy touch on the back.

Interior

The interior is phenomenal, luxurious, incredible, comfortable and exquisite. The rear rows are very comfortable and the second row car take a full turn towards the third row which gives you freedom to continue your business meeting, playing ludo or whatever you like with your siblings and take up you date also and lots of fun by turning 2nd row. There are arm rest for everybody hidden trays on which you can eat, use your laptop and much more. Leg room, just amazing; under thigh support, adjustable, just awesome and head room is just great. Big windows, sunroof and rear wind shield makes the cabin extremely airy.

The driver and co-driver seats are also very comfortable and extremely luxurious. Dashboard is embedded with typical Mercedes element, the dashboard is not physically connected to the floor of the car like other cars. As we all know that there is not gear knob at the centre of Mercedes knob live behinds the steering wheel. The big touch display tells you everything about the car and whenever you feel bore then you can use it as your entertainment system, the smart display controller is also over there. Round shape AC vents looks cool and fascinating and ya the AC vents for rear passenger are on the roof. Ambient lighting enhance V class touch, steering have great feedback, steering is adjustable by reach and height. Overall the cabin is like a highest rated room in 20☆ star hotel....
