The car was not expensive but graceful not so sporty but repudiated, the car that fills it's seat by politicians, social workers and celebrities. It's name still dissolved in this air "Ambassador".
Ambassador is not present in markets these days, 2014 was the last year of it's life. since 1958, when it's production was started Ambassador made a powerfull impact over Indian minds and hearts. The Moris Oxford series 3 was an ideal of Ambassador, Ambassador was based on it.
If we compare it with today's design it may not emitt attractive ray but, at that time it looked so hot. If you can look through my eyes then white colour Ambassador looks stunning.
Ambassador was the first Indian Diesel car and also a very long long living car in India, from 1958-2014. In 2013, it was honoured by the titltle of 'Best taxi in the world' by Automotive programme "Top Gear". At that time Ambassador was also a symbol of power, richness and mighty. One of the best car in Indian history that played a role of dictator for Indian roads.
The Ambassador starts fronm 4.12lakhs and end in 6.26lakhs. This sedan was made up of tough iron which provides good amount of safety. Its comes with 2000cc, 1500cc, & 1800cc petrol and in CNG BS 3, BS 4 engines were available.
The owner of Hindustan Motors CK Birla signed a joined venture with PSA groups a French automaker that owns many car brand like DS group Citroen and Peugeot. 50:50 patnership between CK Birla and PSA group, an investment of 700crores for setting up their base and It's not too far from now when they run their eyes for dealership in India.
In Feb 2017, 80cr was given to HM by PSA groups and owned the Hindustan Ambassador. Now the venture b/w PSA and CK Birla group is almost in th finishing line, the construction of powerplant in Tamil Nadu will start soon, with an annual capacity of 2 lakhs units.
PSA group made many attempts for cementing their feet over Indian market and this venture with HM was the third attempt, and this India's gloden history making brand help Franch very much . 2k20 will be the year that should become a part of debut . Before revealing of Ambassador firstly there will be a chance of PSA group's SUV's or other's debut.
I'm so exicted to see the PSA's ace of spade, is good or bad for both, but hoping for the best...............#
